Mr. Brokaw, I felt so bad for you! I'm certain all you really wanted way back then in school was to be a respected and successful journalist - and I understand how we must sometimes suck it up and do what we must to collect a paycheck. It was heartbreaking to watch you have to sit there and nod your head understandingly as that woman made herself look like a complete imbecile on national tv. What was her name? Janine something? Is she anyone we should care about? Perhaps the latest appointee to the Vatican? Or our new Media Responsibility Czar?

Here's a helpful suggestion for her - our entire Constitution can be read in about an hour even if you're a really slow reader. It would be a good place to start if she really cares to know why people are upset. I'm sorry, am I being too much of a racist readneck here? Perhaps I should just forget about the first amendment and keep quiet as my government gets hijacked by the flag burning, constitution trampling, one world government lunatic fringe like ACORN, Pelosi and friends. States are required to operate with a balanced budget and most of us taxpayers do by necessity, why not our national government as well? It beats having to borrow from oppressive communist regimes who violate basic human rights on a daily basis.

What happens when we owe the Chinese a few trillion and they foreclose on us? I'm going to get the jump and order my Mandarin lessons now. Perhaps I could be a translator for all those who will be pleading for their life after they expressed themselves in public. Of course, that assumes they're going to let any of us live. I better go get started on that now, I need all the time for studying I can get being the uneducated, beer swilling, tobacco chewing, tea party attending bumpkin that I am.

Thanks for all your years of service Tom! But ya know, I sure miss the days of Walter Cronkite et. al., who just gave us a responsible accounting of the news and let us form our own opinions. If you get tired of spreading venom-spitting propaganda or your liberal-biased network employer folds entirely, I heard Fox News is hiring!
